I know I should be more excited to get my hands on these newly announced Blu-ray editions of Cronenberg‘s Naked Lunch, Alex Cox‘s Repo Man and Richard III by Olivier but damn if I’m not super excited to discover what this Pierre Etaix boxed set is all about. I mean, we’ve all seen him acting in films like Le Havre, Micmacs and Henry & June but how many of us have ever had the opportunity to sit down with his own films to see what they’re are all about? I’ve never seen a one and now, thanks to Criterion, we’ll all have a chance to screen his entire filmography. This is amazing! This is why I love this company. Not only do they go the distance to bring these films to North American home video, but they package them all together in one boxed set. I can’t wait!
