You know how Blu-ray discs show films in high-def, usually at a resolution of 1080p, with greater clarity and detail than we’ve ever seen before in home theatre? Well, apparently, this increase in resolution has brought with it a revelation of unknown celebrity nudity – hidden naughty bits only now revealed to our pervy eyes thanks to new Blu-ray technology. Or so says popular celebrity-flesh cataloguer, Mr. Skin in an expose just published by The New Yorker (subscription required to read article).
I’m not sure about you but I’m not so thrilled with the notion of discovering anything that would interest Mr. Skin in a film like The Sound of Music!
But I guess he’ll absolutely adore that clip above: a few moments from one of the cut-scenes included on this weeks Terminator Salvation Blu-ray, featuring Moon Bloodgood changing her clothes in the rain. Apparently she’s got her top off. I dunno. I can’t really tell. I guess we’ll have to wait for Mr. Skin to use his eagle eyes and his Blu-ray player to know for sure.
With his history, I wouldn’t be surprised if he found something in Diora Baird‘s deleted scene from Star Trek either!

I’m sorry to disappoint you, skin fans. But this is the infamous Diora Baird (The Wedding Crashers, Young People Fucking) cut scene from the upcoming Star Trek Blu-ray disc. One line of dialogue. No boobs. I mean, the scene is actually pretty funny, when taken in context of the film. But I think when it was announced that she would be playing a green-skinned Orion Slave Girl in the film, a lot of you had been getting your hopes up for something more along the lines of Ms. Baird’s previous clothing-optional celluloid and magazine appearances. Sadly, this was not to be. But hey, that’s what sequels are for right?
The clip above comes to you via my buddy Rob over at Topless Robot who laments JJ Abrams‘ decision to keep Diora Baird’s clothing on while featuring the lovely Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) in her knickers. Read his rant here.
Star Trek will be available on Blu-ray disc on November 17th (currently $21.49 at Amazon.com – 46% off MSRP)

And you thought Porky’s was the height of the 80s teen-sex comedy! Well, think again. Screwballs took everything Porky’s did right and turned it up to 11 (This is Spinal Tap reference, of course!) And now, thanks to Severin Films, the fine folks who gave us the amazing restoration of the original Inglorious Bastards, we’re about to be served a face-load of high-def T&A in the form of Screwballs on Blu-ray, available next week (already available on DVD.)

I can’t decide if this is the most amazing or the most objectionable thing I’ve ever seen in a mainstream videogame. The “unique” control scheme featured in the amazing advertisement above is exclusive to the PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (authored on Blu-ray disc, of course!) If nothing else, I think the decision to add this to the game is going to get it a lot of press! This post is evidence of that…
A demo of the game hits US and Canadian PSN on September 24. The game is in shops September 29th.
